Indiana, Perth’s premier coastal venue, is located directly on Cottesloe Beach and seems to rise effortlessly from the beach sand. Indiana offers uninterrupted views from every window, with all tables commanding views of the Indian Ocean and the magnificent sunsets beyond Rottnest Island.
Please visit our News & Special Events page, in the 'About Indiana' section, to see what Special Events are happening in 2010.
Indiana was once known as the ‘Indiana Tea House’. The original building was a shack-like composite, which originated in 1910, had a quaint tea room and ice-cream parlour. It served as a pit-stop for the playground that was Cottesloe Beach, Perth’s top spot for surf, sand and sun.
‘Cott Beach’, as it is affectionately known, is still the place to be. Indiana is a much-loved Perth-icon, a symbol of our affable, sun-soaked Australian lifestyle.
Spring 2009 renovations have re-launched Indiana as a Modern Beach Bistro, with a fresh ‘Beach House’ look. Think: clean lines, cool white walls, bright stripes, coloured cushions, deckchairs, surfboards, towels, candles, a stunning new marble bar, and bi-fold doors that open onto the alfresco terrace on the Marine Parade street side.
Indiana’s innovative bistro menu focuses on fresh WA produce, and features a lot of share food - great for the beach. Indiana pours its own specially–brewed, beach-driven tap beers, and has a WA/Australian-focused wine list. Champagne and cocktails are also a must.
Indiana is a quintessential WA dining experience - and it's what Cottesloe Beach has been waiting for!
